Professional Music Tutors • Glasgow
Meet Our Music Tutors in Glasgow
A carefully selected teaching team delivering structured one-to-one music lessons for children, teenagers and adults through a professionally managed school environment.
Why our tutors matter
The right tutor shapes confidence, consistency and progress
Music lessons work best when the tutor understands the student’s level, temperament, goals and weekly routine. At GSofM, tutor placement is handled carefully rather than treated as a casual booking.
Students are matched according to instrument, age, level, confidence, musical goals and practical availability, helping the first lesson feel considered rather than random.
GSofM tutors work within a managed school system, supporting consistent weekly tuition, clear communication, professional standards and long-term musical development.

Tutor matching
Not sure which tutor is right?
You do not need to choose the tutor yourself. Request a trial lesson and we will review the student’s instrument, level, age, goals and availability before recommending the most suitable teaching route.
Tutor availability changes throughout the year
You can request a specific tutor where appropriate, but placement depends on the student’s instrument, level, preferred lesson time and each tutor’s current timetable. The trial lesson helps confirm whether the teaching route is the right fit.
School-led teaching
Why a structured music school gives families more confidence
Lessons sit within a managed school environment, giving families clearer communication, safeguarding expectations and a more consistent route into long-term progress.
We review subject, level, confidence and availability before confirming a suitable tutor route.
Families deal with the school, with clearer communication, safeguarding expectations and fixed weekly 10-lesson blocks.
Tutor FAQs
Questions about music tutors
Tutor allocation depends on the student’s subject, level, preferred lesson time, learning needs and the tutor’s current timetable.
Can I choose a specific tutor?
You can request a specific tutor, and we will do our best to accommodate this where availability allows. Tutor placement depends on the student’s instrument, level, preferred lesson time and the tutor’s current schedule.
Are your tutors PVG checked?
Yes. Tutors are PVG checked and lessons take place within a structured school environment.
Do your tutors teach complete beginners?
Yes. Complete beginners are welcome. Lessons are adapted to the student’s age, confidence, musical background and pace of progress.
Do tutors prepare students for graded exams?
Yes, where appropriate. Students may work towards ABRSM, Trinity or equivalent exam pathways, although exams are not compulsory.
Can adults take lessons with your tutors?
Yes. We teach children, teenagers and adults, including adult beginners and returning learners.
What happens after the trial lesson?
After the trial lesson, we confirm whether the student would like to continue. Ongoing lessons are arranged as fixed weekly slots and delivered through the 10-lesson block structure.
