What music lessons are available at GSofM?
GSofM offers piano, singing, guitar, drums, violin, cello, flute, saxophone, music theory, composition and online music lessons where suitable.
How should I choose the right lesson route?
Start with the subject if you already know it. If the choice is unclear, use Find Your Lesson Route, or choose children, teen, adult or beginner pathways when age, confidence or learning context matters more than the instrument.
How much do music lessons cost?
Music lessons use the applicable published standard rate for the selected 30, 45 or 60 minute lesson length. Current rates and any confirmed transition appear in the fee panel above and on the Lesson Lengths & Fees page. Trial lessons use the same applicable standard rate, there is no registration fee, and ongoing tuition follows the published GSofM Teaching Block calendar.
What happens after a trial lesson?
GSofM reviews tutor fit, level, goals and timetable suitability. Where the trial and timetable are suitable, ongoing tuition continues as a fixed weekly appointment through the published GSofM Teaching Block calendar.
Are graded exams required?
No. Exams are available where useful, but students can also progress through repertoire, technique, confidence, creativity, performance skills and long-term musicianship.
