Begin with a paid first lesson
The trial is a standard paid one-to-one saxophone lesson. Where the route and timetable are suitable, ongoing tuition follows the published GSofM Teaching Block calendar.

Saxophone lessons are available in 30, 45 and 60 minute formats. Trial lessons and ongoing one-to-one tuition use the applicable published standard lesson rate.

There is no registration fee. The applicable rate is confirmed when the trial or regular lesson is arranged. Ongoing tuition follows the published GSofM Teaching Block calendar where a suitable regular weekly place is confirmed after the trial lesson.

Hazel supports saxophone and piano students with structured one-to-one tuition, musical confidence, reading, tone, rhythm and wider musicianship. Placement depends on the student’s age, level, goals, preferred lesson time, lesson length and current availability.
Specific tutor requests can be noted, but placement is confirmed by the school based on suitability, timetable availability and the most appropriate route for the student.

How much are saxophone lessons in Glasgow at The Glasgow School of Music?
Current published saxophone lesson rates are £26.50 for 30 minutes, £35.50 for 45 minutes and £44.00 for 60 minutes until Sunday 9 August 2026. From Monday 10 August 2026, the standard rates are £30.00 for 30 minutes, £39.50 for 45 minutes and £49.50 for 60 minutes. Trial lessons use the same standard lesson rates, and there are no registration fees.
