Use a suitable cleaning rod and cloth to dry the inside of the instrument. Pads should not be rubbed or handled unnecessarily.

Can complete beginners start flute lessons?
Yes. Complete beginners can start by learning how to assemble and hold the flute, form an initial embouchure, direct the air, produce the first reliable sounds and understand simple notes and rhythms.
Is the flute suitable for younger children?
It can be. Physical reach, hand position, concentration and instrument weight should be considered. Some younger learners may benefit from a curved-head flute or another suitable beginner setup, but this should be reviewed before equipment is purchased.
Should we hire or buy a beginner flute?
