Common tasks

What families can check

  • Current lesson schedules and bookings.
  • Invoices and available account information.
  • Attendance and lesson records where shown.
  • The lesson entry needed to report an absence.

If a schedule, invoice or account entry appears incorrect, contact the school before assuming it has changed.

Report an Absence

Record the absence against the correct lesson.

Use the Student Portal as soon as the absence is known. Selecting the actual lesson gives the school and tutor the information they need.

  1. 01

Open the GSofM My Music Staff Student Portal using the family account.

  2. 02

    Open Calendar

Go to Calendar and locate the lesson the student will be unable to attend.

  3. 03

    Select the lesson

Open the specific lesson entry so the absence is attached to the correct date and time.

  4. 04

    Cancel and add a note

Choose Cancel, then add a short note for the school and tutor before confirming.

Important: reporting an absence keeps GSofM and the tutor informed. It does not create a credit, refund or replacement lesson. The formal attendance and cancellation position is explained in the Terms & Conditions.
