Trials are paid one-to-one lessons. If the trial is a good fit and an ongoing space is suitable, lessons can continue through structured 10-lesson teaching blocks.
The process

The trial process is designed to avoid poor timetable matches, rushed tutor allocation and unclear expectations. It gives the student, family and school a better starting point.
Submit the trial request
Tell us the student’s age, instrument or subject, experience level, goals and realistic availability. This helps us check the timetable properly.
We review tutor suitability
GSofM checks the enquiry against tutor availability, student level, lesson length, subject route and the likelihood of a consistent weekly space.
The trial is confirmed
If a suitable option is available, we confirm the tutor, time, location or online format, and the next step for booking and payment.

All standard one-to-one lesson prices are VAT-inclusive. The most suitable trial length depends on the student’s age, subject, level and learning aims.

Can adult beginners request a trial?
