Theory Compass Bootcamp
Music Theory Course Glasgow
Focused theory consolidation from Grade 1 to Grade 5.
Theory Compass Bootcamp is a focused short-course for students who already have some theory foundations and need stronger written confidence, consolidation or exam-readiness.
What is Theory Compass Bootcamp?
A focused short-course for theory consolidation and exam-readiness.
Bootcamp is designed for students who already have some theory knowledge and need a more focused route. It can support work from Grade 1 to Grade 5 level, depending on the student’s starting point, cohort availability and whether Bootcamp is the right format.
For students who need slower foundation-building, Theory Compass Academy or one-to-one music theory lessons may be more suitable.
Is Bootcamp the right route?
Bootcamp is for focused consolidation, not a first introduction.
Bootcamp is best when a student already has some theory foundations and can work at pace. If the foundations are not secure yet, Academy or one-to-one lessons may be a better route.
Students who already know some theory.
Good candidates have met notation, rhythm, terms, keys or written theory before and now need clearer method, accuracy, recall or exam-readiness between Grade 1 and Grade 5 level.
Focused consolidationStudents starting from zero or needing slower pacing.
Complete beginners, anxious students, students with uneven foundations or students needing highly specific Grade 5 preparation may be better suited to Academy or one-to-one theory support.

Higher-level supportWritten method and exam confidence
Students learn how to approach questions, avoid guessing, correct mistakes and use theory knowledge under assessment conditions.
Build confidenceBootcamp vs Academy vs one-to-one
Different Theory Compass routes serve different needs.

BootcampFocused consolidation
Best for students who already have foundations and need focused consolidation.
One-to-oneTailored support
